We have now had some, or all, of everything I got from you and can say that it is all excellent.
The lamb was absolutely superb. Both the smoked and unsmoked. I preferred the smoked and Lynn went with the unsmoked. The haddock was spot on. The cumberland sausage is the best we have had since I can’t remember, and the smoked blue cheese does work very well with a glass of brandy as well as whiskey. The bacon is excellent as always and the black pud should win prizes. Incidentally, the two gift packs I made up for friends have both been thoroughly enjoyed.

Well worth a visit, highly recommend the black bacon and the black pudding with a touch of chilli was right up my street! Even the dog enjoyed meeting the pigs and leaving full of dog treats! Will be sure to visit again soon, Chris & Anna

We went up over a week ago , we were made very welcome and it was great to be shown around.
We bought three types of bacon and some smoked cheese, all have been eaten over the last week or so and all were great and how food should be ! Made with thought, care and love of making an artisan product. Well done guys keep it up.

Stopped off to sample some of this produce the other day and have not been disappointed. The black pudding was probably the best I’ve ever tasted! Thick sliced smoked bacon and smoked Stilton (a first for me) were similarly exceptional. Highly recommended if you’re local or visiting the Peak District / Manchester area.

Lovely little place where it is evident that a lot of care and thought goes into how the food is produced.

Both types of bacon which we bought were of a quality that I have never before experienced on my many years on this planet. Exceptionally good and the black pudding was too. My advice to anyone local is – get down here soon – before some Michelin starred chef tries to buy the lot!

I travelled all the way from the Arctic to the Old Cow Shed…and I wasn’t disappointed. In fact, it felt like I had arrived in 7th heaven. I can only recommend the amazing food thats for sale. And such a nice farmstead with pigs, chickens, sheep and dogs. This will not be my only visit. And for those of you who live locally: yes it is absolutely worth cycling up that steep hill to buy some free range sausages and eggs for breakfast.

Lovely little shop selling amazing produce and located in beautiful surroundings. The owners are passionate about the quality of the food they sell and it shows. Everything we bought was fresh and delicious. The wild garlic and hazelnut pesto was fantastic with king prawns and fresh spaghetti.

So excited after we left you, we just couldn’t wait to try your produce….and we loved it! We had black pudding, beech smoked cheddar and some of the wild garlic and hazelnut pesto for lunch after we left you. Quality of the food is wonderful, delicious black pudding and the wild garlic and hazelnut pesto is probably the tastiest thing I’ve eaten in a long time. You have an amazing place, both of the owners are friendly and welcoming and can tell you just how the products are made…local food at its best. We wish you all the best with your business, we’ll def be back regularly PS the black pudding was better than I expected, yum!

Well worth a little trip up the hill from Charlesworth, the produce I’ve eaten so far has been fantastic, the salmon pate was amazing and I’m excited to try the shoulder bacon tomorrow morning. The owners were so friendly and gave my 4 year old nephew a tour of the animals (which he loved) as well as giving us an insight into their new venture in the fantastic farm shop. I wish them every success. Sustainable and ethical ‘food at its best as it should be’, and with fantastic scenery too.

We had a lovely morning at the farm yesterday and purchased some delicious fresh produce. The hazelnut and wild garlic pesto is particularly yummy! And the sausages and eggs come highly recommended too! We will definitely be back.

I have been buying their free range eggs for a while now and they are delicious.
Tried their new line in smoked bacon yesterday and the taste took me back to when I was a child before bacon came pre-packed absolutely mouthwatering.
